DBS Bank - Akshaya Patra Donation Drive

Terms and Conditions

  • This campaign is applicable to digibank & DBS Treasures account holders (“customers”).
  • DBS Bank has partnered with Akshaya Patra Foundation to provide cooked meals and dry groceries to daily wage workers, migrant labourers and their families which are affected by COVID-19 lockdown.
  • In this campaign, for every successful customer contribution to Akshaya Patra Foundation, made on the Akshaya Patra – DBS Bank page by the customers, using DBS/digibank account (through debit card Internet banking or UPI handle), DBS will contribute twice the donation amount to Akshaya Patra Foundation.
  • The campaign period is as per the communication on the Akshaya Patra – DBS Bank page.
  • The DBS pledge to double the customer donations is applicable to donations made by customers from DBS accounts. DBS will not match customer contribution, for donations made by customers from non-DBS/other accounts.
  • Customers shall receive an e-receipt & 80G certificate as per the contribution/deduction/debit from the customers’ DBS/digibank accounts to Akshaya Patra foundation via email (email address shared by the customer on Akshaya Patra foundation portal). This will be sent only if customers, at the time of donation, mention their email id and Indian PAN Card Number (correct & complete in all respects) in the online donation form to avail the tax benefits.   • The maximum contribution from DBS is capped at INR 50 lakhs, irrespective of the contributions received from the customers. As a part of the campaign, DBS Bank will be the recipient of Sec 80G Donation certificate for the contribution made by DBS Bank.
  • A fund utilization certificate will be issued by Akshaya Patra Foundation, in the name of DBS Bank India Limited showing the details of the contributions done from the support given by DBS Bank, for the contribution made by DBS Bank.
  • Donating twice the amount of customer contributions to the Akshaya Patra Foundation, is DBS Bank’s method of arriving at a contribution amount towards a social cause. DBS Bank, however, is not liable to monitor the usage of the funds contributed by its customers to the Akshaya Patra Foundation.
  • The above terms and conditions apply to this campaign, in addition to partner terms & conditions available at www.akshayapatra.org/donors-privacy-policy.
  • DBS Bank reserves the right to modify / alter all or any of the terms applicable to the campaign without assigning any reasons or without any prior intimation whatsoever.
  • DBS Bank also reserves the right to discontinue the campaign without assigning any reasons or without any prior intimation whatsoever.
  • In case of all matters relating to the campaign including any dispute or discrepancy relating to the campaign or eligibility of any customer, DBS Bank’s decision shall be final and binding on customers in all respects.
  • By participating in this campaign, the customers will be deemed to have given consent to the collection and use of their personal data; and the use and disclosure of their personal data by / to third parties for the purpose of the campaign. Further, it will be deemed that they agree to the terms of the DBS Privacy Policy, a copy which can be found at www.dbs.com/digibank/in/privacy-policy.page.
  • The participation in the campaign is entirely voluntary. Customers participating in this campaign shall be deemed to have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.
  • The terms and conditions governing the campaign shall be in addition to and not in substitution / derogation to the Primary Terms and Conditions governing the Debit Card, the accounts and respective channels including internet banking and UPI issued by DBS Bank.
  • The campaign by DBS Bank is subject to applicable laws and regulatory guidelines / regulations and as per bank's extant guidelines from time to time.
  • DBS Bank reserves the right to disqualify any customer from the benefits of the campaign if any fraudulent activity is identified as being carried out for the purpose of availing the benefits under the campaign.
  • Any dispute relating to the campaign or the terms and conditions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai only.
  • DBS Bank’s decision on all matters relating to the campaign shall be final. No correspondence or claims in this regard will be entertained.
