Offer

  • Receive cashback up to S$75 for spends on foreign currency remittances to your NRE/NRO account and DBS Debit card spends.
  • Single inward remittance transactions and DBS Bank debit card spends (Debit card spends) to be considered as per slabs given below in the table.
  • Maximum cashback can be awarded to a customer shall be, in any case, capped at S$75 per transaction. Cashback exchange rate will be as per applicable rate on day of cashback credit.

Terms and Conditions

  • This campaign is brought to you by DBS Bank India Limited (“DBS Bank”).
  • You can remit in any foreign currency. All calculations for inward remittance qualification & cashback calculation will use Singapore Dollar (SGD) as the base currency.
  • DBS reserves the right to modify, cancel, extend, or discontinue the offer, the website and/or these terms and conditions or any part thereof at any time without prior notification.
  • Inward remittance for foreign currency funds is only permissible for the cashback, INR remittances will not be eligible for the cashback as per this offer.
  • Eligible customers will receive cashback in their NRO account within 90 days of the completion of both criteria – inward remittance transaction & debit card spends. As per applicable regulations cashback can only be credited in an NRO account. In case you do not hold NRO account with DBS Bank, please speak to your relationship manager.
  • Debit card transactions completed post successful inward remit amount credited in to your NRE account will be considered for this offer.
    1. To receive cashback for a level, you must fulfill both the criteria for Inward remittance & Debit Card spends for that level. In case of you qualifying in different levels for different criteria – you will be considered for the lower level (of the 2 qualifying levels as per your inward remittance & Debit Card spends transactions).

      For example:

      If you do an inward remittance of $15,000 and you spent Rs. 2500 on your debit card.

      As per Inward remittances you qualify for level 3, but you qualify for level 2 as per spends criteria.

      In this scenario you will receive $50 cashback

    2. Cashback evaluation for level 1 will be calculated only as per multiples of S$ 1000 value inward remitted. Any value between the multiples of $1000 will receive cashback for the lower S$ 1000 value.

      For example:

      All inward remittances between $8000 to $8,900 and subsequent DC spends of more than Rs. 1000 on your debit card will qualify for $40 cashback

      Same holds true across multiples of S$1000

    3. In case of multiple transactions during the campaign period – you will receive multiple cashbacks, evaluated based on inward remit & debit card spends transaction combinations in chronological order.

      For example:

      If you have completed 3 inward remittance transactions & 3 debit card transactions. You will receive 3 cashbacks.

      1st cashback will be calculated by pairing the 1st inward remit amount & 1st debit card spends amount and evaluated as per the levels mentioned above.

      2nd inward remittance transaction will be paired with 2nd debit transaction for 2nd cashback and so on.

 

DBS Bank Debit Card spends criteria

Spends Criteria:

  • Customer needs to use the debit card for a minimum of the amount shared as per the levels described in the table described in Section A. above.
  • Customer must use the debit card for the asked amount in a single transaction.
  • DBS Bank Debit Card spends can be done either online, offline or for bill payments.
  • Customer will only get the cashback when all transactions are complete.
  • All purchase transactions on POS / e-POS (i.e.transactions at merchant outlets and online transactions) made using DBS Bank Debit Card will be considered as spends for this campaign.
  • All utility bill payments made using DBS Bank Debit Card will be considered as spends for this campaign.
  • Any transaction to purely fund a DBS account or any other Gift card/wallet for any financial institution associated app/website (e.g., CRED, PayTM, Amazon pay, PayUMoney, Mobikwik, Citrus, Airtel Money, RazorPay etc.) will not be considered as DBS debit card spends for this campaign.
  • Cash withdrawals at ATMs or DBS Bank branches will not be considered as DBS Bank Debit Card spends for this campaign.
  • Payments for online gaming and online gaming websites will not be considered as spends for this campaign.
  • Incomplete / rejected / invalid / returned / disputed or unauthorized / fraudulent transactions will not be considered for the campaign.
  • DBS Bank may request bills and related proof of purchase, the failure to present this may lead to disqualification.
  • In absence of an NRO account, Cash back earned on the transaction performed will be kept on hold for a maximum period of 90 days from the date the payout is to be credited post which cash back amount will get lapsed.
Other Terms and Conditions
  • During the offer period, both inward remittance in foreign currency & spends are mandatory for receiving cashback, customers failing to complete any or both, will not be eligible for cashback.
  • Customers with multiple NRE accounts can avail cashback for each of the account – if the eligibility criteria are qualified for each of those accounts.
  • DBS Bank reserves the right to disqualify any customer from the benefits of this campaign if any fraudulent activity is identified as being carried out for the purpose of availing the benefits under the campaign terms and conditions or otherwise by use of the DBS Bank Debit Card.
  • Participation in this campaign is voluntary and by participating in the campaign, you are deemed to have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
  • By participating in this campaign, you consent to our collection and use of your personal data and the use and disclosure of your personal data by/to third parties for the purpose of the campaign. You agree to the terms of the DBS Bank Privacy Policy, a copy which can be found at dbs.com/privacy.
  • By participating in this campaign, you hereby consent to get your names and other details published as a part of the winner list.
  • DBS is not responsible for any errors, non-delivery or missing of entries, due to malfunction of computer systems or software or network failure.
  • DBS’ decision on all matters relating to or in connection with this offer, including the cashback, disqualification of any participant and/or in every situation, shall be final and binding. No queries, correspondence, claims, challenges, or appeals will be entertained regarding DBS’s decision on the same
  • This campaign will be governed by the laws of India and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai.
  • Campaign cashback is available for all DBS NRE/NRO account holders (except customers who have closed accounts or account freeze as of voucher disbursal date)
  • Employee of DBS Bank and their relatives will not be eligible to be a part of this campaign.
  • All issues pertaining to this campaign to be raised within 90 days from the last day of vouchers fulfillment. If any dispute or complaint or query raised after 90 days, then the same will not be entertained.
  • DBS Bank shall not be held liable in any manner whatsoever for any loss or damages arising in connection with the usage of cashback.

Frequently Asked Questions

if I do not have an NRO account will I not be eligible for cash back?

As per RBI guidelines income earned in India is required to be credited mandatorily into an NRO savings account. In absence of an NRO account, Cash back earned from the transaction performed will be kept on hold for a maximum period of 90 days from the date the payout is to be credited post which cash back amount will get lapsed.
