How Buyer’s Credit works:
DBS arranges a line of credit with overseas banks to help you import goods
The overseas bank pays us directly, and we then pay your supplier on the import due date
You then pay the overseas bank on the buyer's credit due date
We can arrange import bills up to USD 20 million, ensuring a one-year line of credit for raw materials and three years for capital expenditure goods

Can Buyers Credit be availed if I do not have a credit facitility with DBS?
No, you must obtain a credit facility with DBS before availing Buyers Credit. Please visit us at any of our branches should you require a credit facility.
Can I utilise my existing line with another Indian Bank to secure overseas funding through DBS?
Yes, DBS can help arrange Buyer’s Credit based on an undertaking to pay on maturity received from another bank in India.
What documents do I need to submit?
You will need to provide us with a request letter and transactional documents.
How long will it take to process my application?
If we receive your application by 1pm it will be processed the same day. Applications received after 1pm will be processed the next working day.
How do I apply?
Simply submit your request letter and transactional documents at any of our Branches. Alternatively, you can apply via IDEAL™.
