How to make GST payments via DBS

DBS Bank enables you to pay your GST quickly and securely in just a few steps.

Step 1: Generate Your Challan

Log in to the GST portal and create your GST challan with the required details.

 

Step 2: Choose Your Preferred Payment Mode

You can pay your GST using any of the following options:

1. Internet Banking
Select DBS Bank under the ‘e-payment’ option on the GST portal and proceed via:
DBS IDEAL – Corporate Internet Banking (View Payment Guide)

2. Over the Counter
• Select ‘Over the Counter’ as your payment mode and choose DBS Bank
• Download the Mandate Form from the GST portal
• Visit any DBS Bank branch with the Mandate Form and payment instrument (Cash/Cheque/DD) to complete the transaction

3. NEFT / RTGS
• Select ‘NEFT/RTGS’ as your payment mode and choose DBS Bank
• Download the Mandate Form from the GST portal
• Log in to DBS IDEAL and add the beneficiary as per details in the Mandate Form
• Complete the payment via NEFT or RTGS from your DBS account

 

Step 3: Track Your Payment on the GST Portal

After completing your payment, verify the transaction status by:
1. Going to Services > Payments > Track Payment Status on the GST portal
2. Entering your GSTIN and the CPIN (from the challan)
3. Entering the captcha and clicking ‘Track Status’
4. Viewing your real-time payment status

What payment modes are available for GST payments through DBS Bank?

The following payment modes are available on the GST portal for making payments through DBS Bank:
• Net Banking – Corporate and Retail Internet Banking
• Over the Counter (Cash, Cheque, or Demand Draft at DBS branches)
• NEFT/RTGS

How long is a GST challan valid?

A challan remains valid for 15 days from the date of generation, as per the GST portal. After this period, the challan expires and payment cannot be made against it.

Can I modify transaction details after the GST payment has been processed?

No. Once a GST payment is successfully processed, no changes or corrections can be made to the challan or transaction details.

What should I do if my challan has expired?

If your challan has expired, you will need to generate a new one on the GST portal and initiate payment using any of the available modes.

Can I make GST payments at a DBS Bank branch?

Yes. You can make GST payments at any authorised DBS Bank branch using Cash, Cheque, or Demand Draft.
To do so, select “Pay at Bank Counter” and choose DBS Bank on the GST portal, then visit the branch with your challan and payment instrument.

How can I download the paid challan or CIN confirmation?

You can download the paid challan with CPIN and CIN confirmation from the official GST portal (www.gst.gov.in) under the “Challan History” section.

Does the GST system accept decimal values in the payment amount?

No. The GST payment system does not accept decimal values in the amount field.

Is there a cut-off time for making GST payments via Net Banking?

No. GST payments via DBS Net Banking are available 24×7, including weekends and public holidays.

Can I make GST payments on a public holiday?

Yes. The GST payment facility through DBS is available every day, including public holidays.

Where can I get a paid copy of my GST challan?

You can download a paid copy of the challan from the GST portal under:
Services > Payments > Challan History.
