Indonesia, 05 Jul 2022 - In the midst of a myriad of digital innovation in banking, the digibank by DBS application has taken another strategic digital banking action. digibank by DBS, in collaboration with digital gold platform Lakuemas, launched the digibank Bayar Ringkas feature, an instant solution that allows customers to make online transactions using partner applications.

Research conducted by Katadata Insight Center (KIC) and Stockbit shows that gold remains an investment option of choice for the Indonesian people, with 60.2% of Indonesians preferring to invest in gold to other instruments. For that reason, digibank by DBS chose Lakuemas as the first digibank Bayar Ringkas partner. Lakuemas is a digital gold platform that initiated the digitisation of gold investment three years ago and has obtained a permit from the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti).

The digibank Bayar Ringkas feature on the digibank by DBS application makes it easy to process digital payments without the need to switch between applications. Customers need only to register once on the Lakuemas application and when registration is completed, they can automatically use digibank Bayar Ringkas as a payment method using a one-time password (OTP) as transaction verification.

With 1,000,000 downloaders, Lakuemas is currently collaborating with offline stores operating in more than 100 locations, gold-dispensing ATMs in five locations, and organise promotions on e-commerce platforms.

In accordance with the concept of open banking, Bank DBS Indonesia continues to expand cooperation with various partners, including for the Bayar Ringkas digibank feature. So far, Bank DBS Indonesia has signed cooperation agreements with DANA digital wallet and the KedaiMart application of Kedai Sayur Indonesia, an agribusiness enabler that offers solutions for people to meet their daily needs. In addition, Bank DBS Indonesia also supports better access to loans and the growth of loan disbursements to the Indonesian people through a joint financing scheme with Home Credit Indonesia and Kredivo.
