Entering its fourth year, Coding Camp powered by DBS Foundation joins hands with 10 universities to reach more young talents and expand its positive impact
Indonesia, 28 Oct 2025 - Coinciding with Youth Pledge Day, Bank DBS Indonesia through DBS Foundation and Dicoding Indonesia launched
Coding Camp 2026 powered by DBS Foundation. The programme aims to deliver structured, high-quality training to create reliable graduates who are able to pursue careers in technology companies and startups. This year, Coding Camp powered by DBS Foundation is targeting 70,000 participants from across Indonesia with three course choices: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, and Full Stack Web Development
.
This initiative comes amid a high demand for skilled workers in the field of information technology and the rapid growth of the national digital economy, which exceeded US$90 billion in 2024 and is estimated to reach US$600 billion by 2030. The World Economic Forum’s 2025 report identifies that skills in AI and data analysis will be the most in demand competencies for the future. Furthermore, data from the
2025 Indonesian Informatics Talent Roadmap shows that Indonesia still needs at least 23 million digital workers to achieve the Indonesia Emas 2045 (Golden Indonesia 2045) vision. This underscores the importance of accelerating improvements in Indonesia’s digital literacy and capacity.
“The programme is very useful in improving the digital skills of vocational school students, and also corresponds with the need to learn AI and coding that are currently a priority. We hope that more vocational school students will be able to attend intensive classes at Coding Camp powered by DBS Foundation in the future,” said Director General of Vocational Education, Special Education, and Special Services Education (PKPLK) at the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia
Tatang Muttaqin.
“We believe that digital inclusion is one of the keys to improving people's welfare and expanding economic opportunities for all. Through Coding Camp powered by DBS Foundation, we want to open up more equitable access to digital learning so that more young people can be absorbed by industries and be ready to contribute to Indonesia's digital economy. This initiative is in line with our sustainability pillar, Impact Beyond Banking, in realising our vision of being the ‘Best Bank for a Better World,’” said Head of Group Strategic Marketing and Communications PT Bank DBS Indonesia
Mona Monika.
Registration for Coding Camp 2026 powered by DBS Foundation is open from 21 October 2025 to 15 January 2026 for university students, vocational school students, women, and people with disabilities. Through this programme, it is hoped that more people will have access to digital training and prepare themselves for the demands of the world of work in the era of digital transformation.
Entering its fourth year, the programme will feature a curriculum that has been updated to keep up with industry developments. Through a project-based learning approach, participants will undergo 900 hours, or the equivalent to one semester, of structured technology training. In addition to strengthening their tech skills in the fields of AI Engineering, Data Science, and Full-Stack Web Development, participants will also receive English language and financial literacy training to enhance their readiness to compete in the world of work.
“Coding Camp powered by DBS Foundation aims to produce digital talents who can think creatively, collaboratively, and become problem solvers to meet industry needs. Therefore, the programme challenges participants to produce final projects that solve various social issues. More than 400 digital works have been created from this programme,” CEO Dicoding
Narenda Wicaksono
This year, Coding Camp powered by DBS Foundation is expanding its reach by collaborating with 10 leading universities in Indonesia:
Universitas Gadjah Mada (Gadjah Mada University)

However, the programme is also open to all university students and vocational school students in Indonesia regardless of their university or school affiliation so that more young people can hone their skills.

So far, the programme has benefited more than 177,000 participants consisting of 45,609 women, 28,112 marginalised individuals, 1,178 people with disabilities, and 7,526 educators.
