The fashion show featured the latest collection from renowned designer Sebastian Gunawan. Inspired by the character of the Year of the Fire Horse, which is synonymous with energy and rapid change, each design explores the interplay of materials, details, and motifs that reflect this dynamic. To create an even more immersive experience, the show was accompanied by the melody of the Guzheng, a traditional Chinese stringed instrument, bringing harmony between fashion, culture, and a warm festive atmosphere for the guests in attendance.

On the occasion, Sebastian Gunawan presented the ‘Jie’ collection, cheongsams with a new touch, to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Fire Horse. In Mandarin, ‘Jie’ means ‘bond’, which can be interpreted as a symbol of the continuity of tradition, heritage, and modernity. Through this collection, Sebastian presented decorative details that emphasise the philosophy that the future is built on a strong foundation of the past. Strong structural elements are combined with elegant silhouettes, reflecting a balance between heritage values and modern perspectives.

To enliven the event, the management of Bank DBS Indonesia also participated in the Yee Sang Tossing tradition, a procession that symbolises togetherness and good wishes at the beginning of the year. This activity symbolises a collective prayer for good fortune, health, and success in the new year while also reflecting a spirit of optimism in welcoming new opportunities ahead.
