DBS IDEAL CONNECT builds an integrated, transparent and accurate supply chain ecosystem
There are several challenges faced by retailers in dealing with suppliers, including:
- Processing data manually, potentially causing data and shipping errors, invoicing and billing errors, and the need for duplicate paperwork and paper forms for administrative processes.
- Non-integrated payment or funds transfer processing that requires switching platforms that may cause delays (not automated and not real-time).
Aware of these challenges, Bank DBS Indonesia presents DBS IDEAL CONNECT, a host-to-host (H2H) payment or fund transfer service for secure transfer between the bank's system and corporate customers and the suppliers used by customers. The Supplier Payment Service (SPS) that is available on DBS IDEAL CONNECT is a solution for corporate customers who utilise automation to ensure faster payments (to suppliers/vendors).

Since 2021, Bank DBS Indonesia has been providing DBS IDEAL CONNECT services for Alfamart to simplify transactions with its suppliers. Currently, nearly 1,000 payments are made every month to 20 Alfamart suppliers across Indonesia. The DBS IDEAL CONNECT feature brings convenience and comfort through H2H payments and payment notifications to suppliers so that customers can focus on growing their business without having to worry about the complex back-end processes.
Treasury General Manager at PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (Alfamart) Lana Pudjianto said, "Since using the DBS IDEAL CONNECT service, our payments to suppliers have become more accurate, efficient and transparent. Payments to suppliers handled by Bank DBS Indonesia have made it easier for Alfamart to manage transactions between the company and suppliers to improve the efficiency of the company's supply chain management."
