Indonesia, 03 Dec 2025 - PT Bank DBS Indonesia has once again strengthened its commitment to delivering digital innovation by launching an
Application Programming Interface (API)-based online onboarding capability to complement its strategic partnership with PT Moduit Digital Indonesia (Moduit). With this integration, Moduit customers can now open a Bank DBS Indonesia account digitally and buy secondary market bonds in one secure, practical, and integrated application.
The feature marked the continuation of the partnership between the two companies that previously provided Moduit customers with services to invest in more than 100 secondary market bonds owned by Bank DBS Indonesia through the API integration.
The positive momentum building in the bond market has further emphasised the importance of digital transformation in investment services. PT Penilai Harga Efek Indonesia (PHEI) noted that the Indonesian bond market has enjoyed a rally year-to-date and will remain promising until the end of 2025. PHEI September 2025 data show that the Indonesia Composite Bond Index (ICBI), which measures the performance of the Indonesian bond market, stood at 428.60. So far this year, the index has increased by 9.15 percent and has been up by 0.70 percent since the beginning of September.
At the same time, the number of Indonesian investors has also increased significantly. In September 2025, the IDX reported that the number of Single Investor Identifications (SID) had reached 18.01 million by the end of August 2025, up by around 18 percent year-on-year. The growth was driven by growing public interest and confidence in digital investment, ease of access through various online platforms, and time flexibility. Digital transformation has proven to play a major role in expanding retail investor participation and strengthening Indonesia's capital market ecosystem. A survey by Jampp in May 2025 also found that financial app users in Indonesia spent 892 million hours using fintech apps in 2024, up by 35.6 percent year-on-year.
“The strategic partnership between Bank DBS Indonesia and Moduit is our concrete step to strengthen wealth democratisation in Indonesia. As a trusted partner in wealth management, we are committed to providing innovative and reliable investment solutions for our customers. By offering an online onboarding feature integrated with bond APIs, we are not only expanding access to quality investment products but also encouraging mutually beneficial collaboration between financial institutions and digital platforms. We believe this synergy will have a positive impact on customers, partners, and the overall growth of the Indonesian capital market,” said Consumer Banking Director PT Bank DBS Indonesia
Melfrida Gultom.
The online onboarding feature integrated with bond APIs allows Moduit customers to open savings accounts and Multi-Currency Accounts (MCA) with Bank DBS Indonesia and conduct end-to-end investment transactions directly through the Moduit app. This process ensures a convenient and seamless experience, making it easy for customers to prepare funds for bond transactions without having to switch platforms.
Through this collaboration, Moduit customers can choose from a variety of secondary bond products in both Indonesian rupiah (Rp) and US dollars (USD), available anytime and anywhere, with a secure and transparent transaction process. Now, customers can trade bonds offered by Bank DBS and monitor their portfolios and performance indicators through the Moduit app. Not only does this collaboration simplify the bond purchasing process and enhance security for customers, it also provides added value for partners by leveraging Bank DBS Indonesia's license as secondary bond seller.
“The partnership with Bank DBS Indonesia is an important step for Moduit in providing a broader and more integrated access to safe and reliable investment products. The online onboarding feature that we launched together with Bank DBS Indonesia allows Moduit users to invest more easily, transparently, and in accordance with their risk profiles. In line with Moduit's vision, “Everyone deserves to be wealthy”, Moduit customers will find it easier to manage their investments,” Chief of Development PT Moduit Digital Indonesia
Edina Saputra added.
The partnership, which was launched in October 2024, is the first in Indonesia to integrate APIs between banks and wealth tech while also reaffirming Bank DBS Indonesia's commitment to developing financial services that are easy, secure, and relevant to the needs of today's customers. In accordance with the ‘Live more, Bank less’ mission, this feature is expected to not only provide easy access to investment products but also offer convenience in investing according to each customer's risk profile. With a more personalised and integrated approach, this feature also has the potential to optimise investment returns for investors.
Moduit customers can access secondary market bonds curated by Bank DBS Indonesia through the Moduit app that can be downloaded from
Google Play Store/
App Store.
