Grooming future leaders through DBS' flagship Management Associate Programme
DBS’ Management Associate (MA) Programme is designed to groom the bank’s future leaders through a rigorous and structured 12-month journey anchored on its Triple E framework of Education, Exposure and Experience.
As one of the few organisations uniquely positioned across both banking and technology, DBS offers MAs opportunities to work on impactful projects, gain broad business exposure and develop critical leadership capabilities for the future. MAs receive structured development, mentorship from senior leaders and hands-on experience across business, operations and technology domains, empowering them to build meaningful, long-term careers with DBS.
DBS has hired 112 MAs in 2026 – more than double the average annual intake across 2024 and 2025, reflecting the bank’s continued commitment to investing in young leadership talent for the future.
Capturing banking talent early through DBS Internship Programme
DBS offers internships designed to give students an early and meaningful head start in their careers. Interns are immersed in real projects, exposed to practical business challenges, and given opportunities to experience the dynamic intersection of banking, technology and innovation.
Beyond work experience, interns benefit from mentorship, exposure to leaders and opportunities to build future-ready skills in an AI-enabled workplace. DBS expects to welcome more than 400 interns in 2026, higher than previous years.
Creating opportunities for fresh graduates to gain hands-on experience through traineeships
Last year, DBS also offered fresh graduates a six-month immersive learning experience through the Graduate Industry Traineeship (GRIT) Programme. DBS welcomed 44 trainees who worked alongside experienced teams across business units, support functions, technology and operations, gaining practical exposure to the bank’s real-world operations while building valuable professional skills and industry knowledge. Participants also benefitted from hands-on learning, mentorship from experienced professionals, exposure to industry best practices, and opportunities to build professional networks in the sector. DBS intends to recruit a similar number of trainees this year as part of its continued commitment to developing young talent for the industry.
