What is Phishing?

Phishing are fraud emails sent by fraudsters which trick you into providing your personal information, or downloading a virus that can steal your information.

How can I spot Phishing?

You get emails from someone claiming to know you, or someone with a high & respectable rank who asks for your personal information or asks you to download an unknown file.

How can I protect myself against Phishing?

  • When in doubt, dont provide any personal or financial information. You never know who is able to see your information.
  • Never click on website links from emails always key the address into your web browser, especially if they look like a request for personal information.
  • Always keep your desktop protection software updated. These include anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall and other software.
