DBS Green Bond
DBS’ Green Bond issuances are guided by the DBS Green Bond Framework, which sets out guidelines in accordance with the four core components of The Green Bond Principles 2017, issued by the International Capital Market Association.
GLP Green Subordinated Perpetual Securities
DBS acted as Joint Bookrunner and Joint Lead Manager for GLP’s landmark USD 850 million Green Subordinated Perpetual Securities offering where the final orderbook was more than six times oversubscribed based on initial target size. This issuance represents the first-ever offering of USD Green Subordinated Perpetual Securities by an APAC corporate issuer and the largest USD Green Subordinated Perpetual offering globally till date. Proceeds from the Green Perpetual Securities will be used by GLP to refinance eligible green projects in accordance to GLP’s Green Finance Framework on which Sustainalytics has issued a second party opinion.
Korea Housing Finance Corporation Social Covered Bonds
We supported the KHFC to issue its first and second social covered bond. The raised amount finances mortgage loans for moderate to low-income households in their first home purchase.
Sembcorp Industries Sustainability-linked Bond
DBS was appointed the joint lead manager and bookrunner for Sembcorp Industries’ maiden sustainability-linked bond in September 2021. The 10.5-year SGD 675 million transaction is the first issuance by a Southeast Asian energy company and the region’s largest such issuance. Prior to this, DBS supported Sembcorp Industries with the launch of their inaugural SGD 400 million green bond in June 2021 to support the growth of its renewables portfolio.
Star Energy Geothermal Green Bond
DBS was a Joint Bookrunner for the USD 580 million, five year Green Project Bond for Star Energy Geothermal (Wayang Windu) Limited in April 2018. This landmark transaction was the first corporate green bond issuance from Indonesia.
Vena Energy Green Bond
We led the inaugural USD Green Bond issued by Vena Energy, an independent power producer focused on renewable energy, as a Joint Global Coordinator. It is the first corporate USD Green Bond issuance from a Singapore-headquartered company.
Women’s Livelihood Bond (WLB) Programme
First launched in 2017, the WLB programme is a partnership with Impact Investment Exchange (IIX). We supported the USD 12 million Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) Women’s Livelihood Bond 2 (WLB2), as the placement agent. The WLB2 will create sustainable livelihoods for over 250,000 underserved women across Asia Pacific.
