Paulus Sutisna was appointed as President Director in 2015, before serving as Commissioner starting 2022. He has more than 30 years of experience as a professional banker with all the knowledge of banking industry, from the mid to frontline. Paulus joined DBS after his tenure in HSBC Indonesia as Head of Client Management of Global Banking. Before that he also served for 24 years at Citibank as Managing Director and as Head of Multinational Franchise in Indonesia. He also worked as an expatriate in Citi Amsterdam from 1999 to 2002.

Despite spending most of his career in customer related service, both in corporate banking and transaction banking, he is also well versed in risk and credit management function. He finished his Computer Science degree at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia.
