Ahmad Hidayat effective joined DBS Indonesia on 28 December 2023 as an Independent Commissioner. He has 34 years of experience in the financial industry having worked in commercial banks and regulatory bodies i.e. at Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK). His work experience began in 1989 when he joined Bank Bali through the Officer Development Program with his last position as branch head of Bank Bali Gresik, East Java. He then joined Bank Indonesia for 25 years through the Training Program for Bank Examiner Candidate in 1992. While at Bank Indonesia, he served in various fields including banking regulation and development, bank supervision, secondment at PDFCI Bank for 2 years, payment systems field, finance, budget, taxation and core banking operations. His last position at Bank Indonesia was Executive Director – Expert Staff to the Board of Governors in finance.

In the 2017 – 2022 period, Ahmad Hidayat served as Chair of the Audit Board and concurrently as a Member of the OJK Board of Commissioners in charge of internal audit, risk management, quality control and investigation audit/anti-fraud. Apart from that, he also serves as a member of the OJK Ethics Committee at both management and governance levels. He also has experience as founder representative of the OJK Pension Fund and member of the supervisory board of the Bank Indonesia Pension Fund.

During his tenure as Chairman of the Audit Board, OJK won several awards, namely the Best Gratification Management System award in 2017, 2018 and 2020 and the Best e-LHKPN Implementation in 2017, 2018 and 2020 from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Ahmad Hidayat also serves as Independent Commissioner at PT Maspion Industrial Estate since September 2023 until now.

Ahmad Hidayat earned a Bachelor of Economics degree in Accounting from Airlangga University in 1988. He also continued his education and earned a Master of Business Administration degree majoring in Finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2000.
