In a career of more than 3 decades, Prabhat has been involved with regulatory, compliance and risk management functions in his earlier stints with Standard Chartered Bank and L&T Finance Limited. He was the first country manager for Wolters Kluwer Financial Services in India, helping set up their India operations. For more than 2 decades before that, Prabhat has been an experienced regulator at the Reserve Bank of India, being largely involved with policy formation for regulation and supervision of banks / NBFCs and managing financial stability. During his tenure at RBI, he has represented India at various sub-committees of the Financial Stability Board and the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.

Prabhat has been with DBS Bank India Limited since July 2019 and is a Whole-Time Director since January 2024, heading the Legal, Compliance and Secretarial function.
