DBS/POSB - First bank to dispense new notes via SingPost for Deepavali

Singapore, 22 Oct 2015 - This Deepavali, DBS/POSB customers celebrating Diwali will, for the first time, be able to get their new notes from two SingPost outlets. Customers withdrawing new notes from the SingPost outlets and from DBS/POSB branches will also receive a set of either DBS or POSB Diwali money packets.

The two SingPost outlets disbursing new notes are located at Woodlands Central and Kitchener Road, and customers can use their DBS/POSB ATM card to withdraw pre-packed new notes in SGD 300 packs (SGD 2 x 100 pieces; and SGD 5 x 20 pieces).

This year’s DBS Diwali money packets showcase the iconic and adorable DBS Girl and Boy, Xing and Jaan. When placed side by side, the DBS packets form a perfect rangoli – Indian decorations thought to bring good luck. Singapore’s well-loved mascot, Smiley, features prominently in POSB's Diwali packets celebrating the festival of lights amid a sparkling night sky.

Customers can also look forward to sending mobile/online Diwali greetings to their family and friends by scanning the QR code on the back of the packets. Customers who have loved ones working or travelling during Diwali may also send their loved ones money via DBS’ mobile wallet app – DBS PayLah! – and use the app’s festive Diwali stickers while doing so.
