Empowering the marginalised with blooms | In The Moment: Episode 35

BY DBS, 6 APR 2022

"I felt that I was very useless," said Faith, who's partially blind and deaf. After facing trouble finding work and dealing with a failed marriage, she slipped into depression - until her sister, Hazel Kweh, stepped in.

In this episode of #InTheMoment, Nadia meets the founder of Singapore social enterprise Bloomback, and finds out how it all started.

Bloomback offers eco-friendly and everlasting preserved flowers that are handcrafted by marginalised individuals like single mums, the elderly and people with physical disabilities.

This is the first of many stories to come on our social media channels as we celebrate women in the month of March as part of #InternationalWomensDay. Join us as we #BreakTheBias!
