Our Approach

With the pandemic upending economies and societies, it is now more critical than ever for us to take urgent action to support those who may find themselves being displaced by new forces of technological and economic disruptions.

To ensure that no one is left behind, the DBS Foundation raised the bar in 2022 with the formation of a new Community Impact chapter, to prepare our communities for the future through 2 focus areas:

Future-Ready Skills: Equipping the underserved with skills like financial & digital literacy and mental resilience, to face the future with confidence
Food Security: Enabling communities to be more food secure and resilient, by tackling issues like food waste and food accessibility

With a firm belief that we can create more impact together, our vision is to spark collective action, together with our partners and DBS People of Purpose (our volunteer movement), to help build a better world for generations today and tomorrow.

Haqdarshak

In partnership with Haqdarshak, the DBS Foundation Financial Inclusion programme increases accessibility to financial literacy and welfare entitlement support to disadvantaged communities in rural parts of India

SG Enable

Together with SG Enable, this strategic collaboration aims to forge digital and financial inclusion by equipping persons with disabilities and their caregivers with financial and digital literacy skills through tailored programmes.

Limitless

The partnership with Limitless aims to uplift the underprivileged youth in Singapore by improving their mental wellness through therapy sessions and outreach sessions to equip secondary school students with peer support skills.

Infocomm Media Development Authority

In support of the national Digital for Life movement, the strategic collaboration with Infocomm Media Development Authority aims to forge digital inclusion to uplift digital literacy in banking and finance for the needy and vulnerable segments like seniors, children, persons with disabilities & hawkers

Dicoding

Together with Dicoding, a learning platform with certification recognised by Indonesia’s Ministry of Education, the DBS Foundation Coding Camp aims to upskill students & educators in software development skills, including coding, A.I. and machine learning

Vox Nativa Taiwan

This partnership with DBS Foundation supports underprivileged Taiwanese indigenous children and their communities by equipping them with skills such as mental resilience, financial and digital literacy through training programmes and cultural immersion.

Beatitudes Elderly Service

Together with Beautitudes Elderly, DBS Foundation is dedicated to supporting the elderly and their caregivers in rural areas by offering digital consulting services and workshops, with a focus on enhancing care management, mental resilience, and providing comprehensive support in caregiving, financial, legal, and medical aspects.

Pley School

In partnership with Pley School, the DBS Foundation aims to empower students with cyberwellness skills and build up their confidence through a teacher-focused approach, interactive toolkits and engaging sessions in schools.

Junyi Academy

As the biggest non-profit online learning platform in Taiwan, Junyi Academy has partnered DBS Foundation to launch a Financial Literacy Channel to provide fundamental financial capability for underprivileged youth

Junior Achievement Hong Kong

In partnership with Junior Achievement, the DBS Foundation works to promote financial capability and inclusion among youths by equipping them with essential financial management skills, making them ready for their future.

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG)

As Hong Kong’s largest youth service organisation, The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups has partnered with DBS Foundation to launch Project LiveWELL which aims at addressing food security issues to enhance the living standards and mental resilience of children and youth from low-income families.

MakerBay Foundation

In partnership with MakerBay Foundation, the DBS Foundation InnoFuture Youth Programme provides comprehensive A.I. and No-code upskilling opportunities for underserved youth, increasing their competitiveness in the technology job market

Guanghua Science and Technology Foundation (GHSTF)

Together with a state-owned partner, the programme provides financial literacy and computer skills training to schools in rural parts of China like Hunan, Jiangxi and Yunnan provinces

The Conservancy Association

As the first local non-government environmental organization in Hong Kong, The Conservancy Association has partnered with DBS Foundation to ensure food security of the underprivileged communities through food rescue and redistribution efforts, along with education outreach to schools and neighbourhood estates.

Impact HK

The Kind Kitchen by Impact HK is a community kitchen that hires and trains homeless to collect surplus food, prepares and delivers meals to the needy. The joint effort will see an expansion in the kitchen’s capacity which will increases its impact in the community

FoodCycle

The joint efforts between FoodCycle and DBS Foundation aim to tackle food insecurity in Jakarta among underprivileged communities through food rescue efforts, while also utilising bioconversion technology to process organic waste from hotel kitchens into fertilizers for urban farming to further support sustainable food production.

National Environment Agency

The DBS Foundation X NEA Hungry for Change challenge seeks to empower youths from Institutes of Higher Learning to develop or scale up their innovative solutions to prevent and/or reduce food waste in Singapore. Winning teams will receive holistic support to create impact.

Green Food Bank

The partnership expands Green Food Bank’s network and food redistribution capabilities with the construction of new food bank branches in 8 cities, bringing more support to beneficiaries in rural areas

Food Bank

The partnership with DBS Foundation includes the setting up of 5 new branches (expanding to Eastern Taiwan), which upgrades Food Bank’s food storage capacity to expand its reach to more beneficiaries while reducing food waste
