Who We Are
GSMC is consumed with how to reimagine marketing. A day in our life sees us engaging with the press, launching a kick-ass brand campaign, galvanising our 27,000-strong staff through a virtual townhall, or putting together a programme to champion social enterprises.
Media, marketing and content specialists sit with UX designers, data analysts and technologists to make magic happen. These efforts have culminated in DBS being recognised by Brand Finance as the most valuable bank brand in Southeast Asia and the most valuable brand in Singapore. DBS was also recognised by Public Affairs Asia in its 2018 Gold Standard Awards, winning Best In-house Communications Team of the Year. DBS’ Sparks miniseries – our ground-breaking video miniseries on bankers which has garnered over 250 million views – has also won multiple awards including in the Conference Board’s Excellence in Marketing and Communications Awards 2019, and at the prestigious Shorty Awards 2018.

With our industry undergoing rapid change, people who thrive in our fast-paced environment get a buzz out of finding new and effective ways to engage with our customers in their everyday lives through immersive marketing. Our entrepreneurial, fast-moving and fun-loving team also gets a kick out of successfully engaging with our 27,000-people and helping to change culture along the way. The DBS Foundation seeks talent who want to play a part in making change and advancing the cause of social entrepreneurs. Our areas of work include: Media Management, Brand, Content Marketing, Internal Communications, Digital Technology and the DBS Foundation.

2018 was a seminal year for DBS as we kick started our golden jubilee celebrations, with the launch of our new ethos Live more, Bank less. Thanks to this, I was given an opportunity to relocate to GSMC Singapore, and be part of the regional team overseeing the rollout of our new ethos.
