Who We Are
GSMC is consumed with how to reimagine marketing. A day in our life sees us engaging with the press, launching a kick-ass brand campaign, galvanising our 27,000-strong staff through a virtual townhall, or putting together a programme to champion social enterprises.
Media, marketing and content specialists sit with UX designers, data analysts and technologists to make magic happen. These efforts have culminated in DBS being recognised by Brand Finance as the most valuable bank brand in Southeast Asia and the most valuable brand in Singapore. DBS was also recognised by Public Affairs Asia in its 2018 Gold Standard Awards, winning Best In-house Communications Team of the Year. DBS’ Sparks miniseries – our ground-breaking video miniseries on bankers which has garnered over 250 million views – has also won multiple awards including in the Conference Board’s Excellence in Marketing and Communications Awards 2019, and at the prestigious Shorty Awards 2018.

Meet The Team
“Through my work at the DBS Foundation, I’ve had the opportunity to interact with inspiring social entrepreneurs emerging from across Asia and support several innovative social enterprises in their effort to address some of Asia’s most pressing social issues through sustainable business models. Each day at work is an adventure with a front row seat to innovations in the social impact space, and it is extremely rewarding to be part of the solution and to know that our work contributes to creating a better world.”

“I joined DBS in 2014, at our Fort, Mumbai office. And what a roller coaster ride it has been! Part of the GSMC team in India, supported by a young and vibrant team, we were at the helm of creating multiple award-winning and Industry first initiatives. All credit due to the highly supportive and encouraging leadership team at DBS – who believed, encouraged and backed us for the ideas right through - a true reflection of the values we live by.
2018 was a seminal year for DBS as we kick started our golden jubilee celebrations, with the launch of our new ethos Live more, Bank less. Internal mobility and relevant exposure to its employees has been the hall mark of DBS’ people policies. Thanks to this, I was given an opportunity to relocate to GSMC Singapore, and be part of the regional team overseeing the rollout of our new ethos. I find DBS as one of the most employee friendly, innovative and helmed by strong, purposeful and supportive leadership team, here to shape a better world."

“This is my 15th year at DBS and what a meaningful and rewarding career it has been! Thanks to the dynamic culture at DBS, where employees are constantly exposed to new opportunities, I’ve tried my hand at various things. These have spanned the breadth of supporting the CEO office in strategy and planning, running CSR, and today, leading a team in media management and content marketing. Here at GSMC, we constantly ask ourselves what world-class, cutting edge marketing looks like. While this constant drive to reimagine marketing is not for the faint-hearted, it is highly rewarding and exhilarating when we break new ground.”
