Karen is Managing Director and Head of Group Strategic Marketing & Communications. She joined DBS in June 2005 as Managing Director and Head of Group Branding & Strategic Marketing.

In October 2005, Karen assumed leadership for the re-aligned department, Group Strategic Marketing & Communications, where she is responsible for DBS's overall brand management, corporate advertising, corporate brand positioning, communications, corporate sponsorships and community relations. She will lead and co-ordinate efforts across the DBS Group to increase our brand visibility and firmly establish a distinctive and consistent DBS brand in all of our businesses and principal markets, including Singapore, Greater China, South and Southeast Asia.

Karen has extensive experience in corporate branding and marketing for various financial institutions including the former Overseas Union Bank and Chase Manhattan Bank. Karen's last position was Global Head, Brand Management and Strategic Marketing for Standard Chartered Bank.

A Malaysian and Singapore Permanent Resident, Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from University of Southern Illinois and a Masters of Business Administration from University of Iowa.
