The DBS Internship Programme is a valuable learning opportunity which spans for 8 weeks. When you become a DBS Intern, you'll get to know our business and culture, build your network early and benefit from the diversity of opportunities we have in the DBS family.

From day one, you will be exposed to a dynamic business environment with growth and challenges. It is a great way to gain real job experience, put your academic knowledge into use and get familiar with the banking industry that you aspire to enter upon graduation.

We believe that to attract and retain the very best, we must invest in people. That's why we start to develop people well before they graduate from university. Outstanding DBS Interns will be recommended for potential hire upon graduation.

What exposure does DBS offer?
We have a wide range of exciting areas that offer internship opportunity. Subject to the project natures, DBS needs and your strengths/skills, you may be assigned to one of the following areas:

What can I gain from the Internship Programme?
As DBS Intern, you will receive intensive training and learning within the key business area through on-the-job training, classroom learning, networking opportunities, guidance from your supervisor/ mentor and Human Resources will also be provided through out the programme.

Short-term project will be assigned to Interns for learning and development, and you are required to participate in the sharing session on your assigned project towards the end of the Internship Programme. Ongoing feedback and performance review session will also be provided by your supervisor to discuss your progress and look into your development needs.

Who is DBS looking for?
In addition to a demonstrated track record of achievements in academic and non-academic pursuits, the ideal intern we seek should have outstanding overall qualities such as leadership potential, integrity, outstanding communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of people.

We welcome outstanding undergraduates studying in Year 2 or 3 from all disciplines to join us. Certain career track may require specific/ technical skills and knowledge in addition to a business or finance major which will be announced separately.

Recruitment process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to take part in the following assessment:

Stage 1: Verbal and Numerical Aptitude Tests
Stage 2: Human Resources Interview
Stage 3: Business Interview
