The Makan Master digital service hopes to increase productivity for F&B operators. Frasers Property Singapore

A new digital service Makan Master will let customers in any of 12 Frasers' malls in Singapore - including Bedok Point and The Centrepoint - reserve seats and order food from eateries in advance.

The new service, which will be launched by Frasers Property Singapore around November this year, is part of the developer's efforts to promote cashless transactions in malls.

Customers can access Makan Master via the Frasers Rewards app. There, they can see a list of eateries, with options to dine in or take food away. After ordering on the app, they can either eat in the restaurant, or collect the takeaway.

Apart from reducing the time customers spend standing in line for a seat or waiting for their food to arrive, the service also hopes to help eateries become more productive.

Mr Philip Pang, chief executive of Fei Siong Group, which runs the food outlet Malaysia Chiak in Northpoint City, said: "As a busy F&B outlet, we welcome the pay-at-table feature, which will help us cope better with manpower challenges especially during peak periods. The optimised order management system will also make daily operations for our non-dine-in customers easier."

The service was launched with partner DBS bank, and there are also plans to allow customers to use the DBS rewards scheme when buying food.
