DBS/POSB kicks off SGD 10 million support measures with SGD 3 off eggs and SGD 3 off rice every Saturday

Weekly offer to run from 18 July to 29 August at Sheng Siong and Giant supermarkets islandwide

More households can benefit with over three times as many redemptions available compared to last year’s grocery offer

Singapore, 10 Jul 2026 - DBS/POSB will roll out the first phase of its SGD 10 million support measures announced in April to help Singaporeans manage cost pressures through its new DBS Saturday Savings programme.

Every Saturday from 18 July to 29 August 2026, DBS/POSB customers can enjoy SGD 3 off eggs and SGD 3 off rice at Sheng Siong and Giant supermarkets islandwide, for total savings of up to SGD 6, when they pay with any DBS/POSB credit or debit card1.

From September, customers can also look forward to the return of the bank’s popular PayLah! SGD 3 Saturday Cashback campaign, with further details to be announced closer to launch.

“When we announced our SGD 10 million support initiative earlier this year, our commitment was to provide practical benefits that help Singaporeans stretch their dollar. For many households, weekend grocery shopping is a familiar routine. By offering these savings on Saturdays, we hope to make these grocery trips a little more affordable. This year, we’ve expanded the offer to cover both Sheng Siong and Giant supermarkets, while increasing redemption quantities by more than threefold, so more can enjoy these savings,” said Calvin Ong, Head of Consumer Banking Group, DBS Singapore.

More ways to save, more places to redeem

Building on the strong response to last year’s SGD 0.60 rice and cooking oil offer at Sheng Siong, DBS/POSB has expanded this year’s programme to bring weekly grocery savings to more neighbourhoods and enable more households to benefit. This includes:

  • More places to redeem: Customers can redeem the offer at Giant supermarkets, in addition to Sheng Siong, with a total of 129 participating outlets across Singapore.

  • More redemptions available: Weekly redemption quantities have more than tripled to around 90,000 redemptions each week, enabling more customers to benefit from the offer.

  • More eligible cards: The offer is available to all DBS/POSB credit and debit cardholders, compared to previous grocery campaigns, which were open to POSB cardholders.

DBS Saturday Savings builds on the bank’s longstanding commitment to support its customers and the community. Since 2023, the bank has rolled out a series of cost-of-living support measures, including its popular PayLah! SGD 3 Cashback campaign for hawker meals, which was later expanded to heartland shops and wet markets. Together, these initiatives have helped customers save on everyday purchases while encouraging greater patronage of local merchants.

1 Offer is valid only on selected house-brand eggs and rice products. Redemptions are on a first come, first served basis, while stocks last. Each customer is limited to one redemption per item per day.
