A social enterprise that aims to preserve the Ganges river by recycling floral waste from temples, while simultaneously transforming lives by exclusively employing under-represented women.
Since 2015, HelpUsGreen has pioneered “flowercycling technology” and has upcycled over >11,060 metric tonnes temple-waste till date of floral waste collected daily from temples and mosques in Uttar Pradesh.
The enterprise employs 79 women. It plans to expand to Bangladesh and Nepal by 2021, providing livelihoods to 5,100 women while recycling 51 tonnes of temple waste daily.
In 2018, HelpUsGreen won the UN Momentum for Change Award. Its founder Ankit Agarwal was also appointed by the UN as one of the 17 young leaders across the globe to champion its Sustainable Development Goals initiative – 2018.
HelpUsGreen has now launched Florafoam, the world’s first-ever biodegradable thermocol, which is 27% cheaper than regular thermacol.
HelpUsGreen has received recognition from Forbes, Fortune and the Stanford Review.
