Supplier Gifts Letter

To Our Valued DBS Suppliers:

Over the years, DBS greatly value the importance of good supplier relationships. These relationships could not have been developed without open communication, mutual respect and collaboration. We believe the success of our relationship relies heavily on a clear understanding of DBS values, principles and policies applicable to our business relationship.

This letter is intended as a reminder of a few DBS policies that are relevant and would like to highlight the expectations for this time of year. In light of the fast approaching holiday season, we would like to remind you about DBS policy on gifts and entertainments from suppliers.

Business Gifts

It is DBS’s policy for all employees not to accept gifts from our suppliers. We have a long-standing request of our suppliers that gifts not be offered to any employee. This applies to gifts of any value, even promotional and marketing-type gifts.

Business Entertainment

Like the Business Gifts, suppliers are asked not to offer entertainment (tickets to events, paid vacation, sporting events, etc.) to our employees. DBS employees are informed that accepting entertainment is not appropriate in the context of the business relationships the company wishes to maintain. DBS does understand reasonable business lunches or dinners are appropriate to conduct of business, DBS expects to host our share of these types of events.

Thank you for your attention to this reminder.

Best Regards,
