Longevity as a new opportunity -
driving a resilient and inclusive society
TAIWAN
The 2026 DBS Foundation Impact Beyond Dialogue(IBD) Taiwan was held on 27 April
2026, bringing together more than 300 onsite and online participants across
government, academia, businesses and the social innovation ecosystem.
As Taiwan officially enters a super-aged society, the Dialogue focused on how
longer lives can also become better lives — with greater dignity, purpose and
joy in later years.
The event opened with remarks from Karen Ngui, Head of DBS Foundation; Sier Han
Ng, CEO of DBS Bank Taiwan; Chen Chien-Jen, former Vice President of Taiwan; and
Lu Chien-Te, Deputy Minister of Health and Welfare.
Designed as an interactive platform rather than a traditional forum, this year’s
IBD featured cross-sector conversations on key themes including health,
financial resilience and social connectedness. Speakers and partners shared
frontline insights and practical solutions to address the increasingly
interconnected needs of ageing societies.
