Indonesia is currently at a unique crossroads. While it enjoys a "demographic bonus," its elderly population is projected to surpass 20% by 2045. As traditional family support systems are tested by urban migration, a significant "readiness gap" has emerged, leaving the "sandwich generation" and the youth underprepared for the financial and health realities of long-term care.

DBS Foundation partnered with CNN Indonesia to address the "hidden" demographic shift facing the nation. Held on 11 June 2025, The Impact Beyond Dialogue, “Future-Proofing Indonesia,” served as a critical platform to bridge the gap between Indonesia’s current youth-centric focus and its rapidly approaching aged reality.
