S Dhanabalan
Mr Dhanabalan, 62, brings wide government and private-sector experience to the Board. After ten years in DBS Bank, culminating in his role as Executive Vice President, he spent 16 years as a Cabinet Minister where he held portfolios in Foreign Affairs, Culture, Community Development, National Development and Trade & Industry. He continues to be involved with the government on financial matters through his directorships in Temasek Holdings and the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation Private Ltd.



John T. Olds
At 56, Mr Olds has 35 years of experience as a career banker including 24 with JP Morgan. Mr Olds, who is a United States citizen, was primarily responsible for developing JP Morgan's global securities business. He also had stints as Head of Euroclear, Belgium, the world's largest securities clearing and settlement system managed by JP Morgan and had held several other senior positions including Head of Asia-Pacific Region and Head of Strategic Planning.



Alan Chan Heng Loon
Mr Chan, 47, is currently the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology. A career civil servant, he has accumulated experience as Director of Manpower at the Ministry of Defence in 1990-1994, Principal Private Secretary to the Senior Minister in 1994 - 1997 and Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997 - 1999. He also sits on the Board of the PSA Corporation.



Bernard Chen Tien Lap
Mr Chen's career has straddled both the government and private sector. In government service, he spent 12 years at the Ministries of Defence and Finance and was Minister of State from 1977 to 1981. From there, he spent ten years with the beverage group Fraser & Neave, the last seven as Group General Manager & Director. At 57, Mr Chen is Chief Executive Officer of Intraco, a position he has held since 1991.



Fock Siew Wah
Mr Fock started his career in banking with DBS Bank and then moved to JP Morgan where he stayed for 13 years, rising to head its Asian operations. He then served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Overseas Union Bank from 1988 to 1991 and as Chairman of East West Bank. At 59, Mr Fock is currently Chairman of the Land Transport Authority, a Board Member of Temasek Holdings and a Senior Advisor of Nuri Holdings.



Gail Fosler
Ms Fosler, 52, is Senior Vice President and Chief Economist for The Conference Board, one of the world's most influential business organisations. Earlier in her career, she served as Chief Economist and Deputy Staff Director of the US Senate Budget Committee and was an economist with Manufacturer Hanover Trust, now part of Chase Bank. Fosler is a director of Unisys Corporation and H.B. Fuller Company and a trustee of John Hancock Mutual Funds.



Robert Montgomery Howe
Mr Howe, 55, has a broad range of experience in information systems and consulting. He spent 15 years with management consultant Booz-Allen & Hamilton, where he developed its worldwide financial services practice. In 1991, he joined IBM, where he founded the consulting group and was General Manager of Global Banking, Finance and Securities from 1995 to 1998. A United States citizen, Mr Howe is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Scient Corporation.



Tommy Koh Thong-Bee
Prof Koh, 62, brings vast diplomatic experience as Singapore's Ambassador-at-Large and Executive Director of the Asia-Europe Foundation. After nine years at the National University of Singapore, he entered the diplomatic corps as Singapore's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) andsubsequently as Singapore's Ambassador to the United States. During his time at the UN, he presided over the Third UN Conference on the Law of the Sea and chaired negotiations for the Earth Summit from 1990 to 1992.



Moses Lee Kim Poo
At 48, Mr Lee is a career civil servant who has held numerous appointments in the public sector, including his current appointment as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health. In his career, he has been General Manager of Singapore Broadcasting Corporation and Chairman of Post Office Savings Bank from 1994 until its merger with DBS Bank in 1998. His private sector appointments include a board membership with Singapore Airlines.



Ng Kee Choe
Mr Ng, 55, is a career banker at DBS, where he was appointed Executive Vice President in 1990, Deputy President in 1994 and President in 1997. He is also Chairman of The Insurance Corporation of Singapore. His other appointments include directorships at DBS Thai Danu Bank, DBS Kwong On Bank, PT Bank DBS Buana and Singapore Technologies Engineering and a governorship with the Singapore International Foundation.



Yeo Ning Hong
Dr Yeo, 56, combined stints in both academia and the private sector before embarking on a career with the government in 1981. His Cabinet-level appointments included Minister for Communications and Information in 1985-1991 and Minister for Defence from 1991-1994. In 1995, Dr Yeo returned to the private sector when he became Executive Chairman of the Singapore Technologies Group of Companies. In 1994, he took up his current appointment as Chairman of PSA Corporation Ltd.
