What should I do when I encounter technical issues such as a “hanged” page or inability to navigate or save?

Close the window, clear your internet cache and re-open a new session before accessing the career portal again.

If the issue persists, please contact us and provide a detailed description of the application steps you have performed before encountering the error. It will facilitate our troubleshooting if you can also include screenshots of the error or error messages.

Please do not send your CVs to this email address as your application will not be processed.

How do I clear internet cache?

For Firefox:

  1. At the top of the Firefox window, select Options.
  2. Select the Advanced panel.
  3. Click on the Network tab.
  4. In the Cached Web Content section, click Clear Now.

       

For Internet Explorer:

  1. Open Internet Explorer. On top menu, click on Tools, Internet Options.
  2. Click the General tab, and then, under Browsing history, click Delete.
  3. Click Delete all, click Yes to confirm deletion, and then click OK. 

For Safari (iOS, iPhone, iPad):

  1. Click on Settings from the home page.
  2. Scroll down until you see Safari. Click on it to bring up the option page.
  3. Click Clear History and Website Data.
  4. A popup box will appear. Click Clear History and Data again to confirm your choice. 

Why am I unable to register an account on DBS Careers?

Password must be alphanumeric, upper and lower cases and is at least 10 characters in length. Also, the password must contain at least 1 special character, e.g. % $ & * # ! ?.

If your password meets the stipulated requirement and you cannot register successfully, it could be that you have already registered with us previously. Enter your username and password to log in instead.

If you have forgotten your password, click on Forgot your password? to reset your password. Alternatively, click on Forgot User Name? to validate your user name.

Why can’t I login successfully using the previous username and password that I have when applying for DBS positions?

Click on Forgot your password? The system will prompt you to enter your User Name and Email Address. An access code and instructions to reset your password will be sent to your e-mail account within 10 minutes.

If you do not receive any email, please check if it has been filtered into your spam folder. If not, it is likely that your account has not been registered in our system. Please register for a new account under Careers page.

What if I forget my password?

Go to Careers page and click on Sign-In. Then, click on Forgot your password? The system will prompt you to enter your User Name and Email Address. An access code and instructions to reset your password will be sent to your e-mail account shortly.

Why have I not received the email to reset my password?

You should receive an email with an access code and instructions to reset password within 10 minutes.

If you do not receive any email, please check if it has been filtered into your spam folder. If not, it is likely that your account has not been registered in our system. Please register for a new account under Careers page.

How do I search for jobs?

The system provides both basic search and advance search capabilities. The Basic Search function enables you to search for jobs by keyword, location and time period. The Advance search provides additional search criteria, such as location and job field, to further refine the search results.

  • Location: Where you would like to be based at.
  • Job Field: The broad category of job / business area that you would consider a career in.
  • Posting Date: Date which job was posted.
  • Full-Time/Part-Time: Select accordingly.
  • Job Type: Select accordingly.
  • Employee Status: Select accordingly.
  • Travel (Up To) : % that you will be willing to travel on the job

Do I have to register or log in to search for jobs?

You can proceed to search for a job without registering or logging in. However, should you wish to save your job searches or proceed to apply for the roles, you will need to register or log in.

What is My Job Cart?

My Job Cart page is used to save jobs that you are interested in. You will be able to save the required jobs onto this page by clicking on Add to My Job Cart against the selected job or under the Search result page.

In order to save your preferred jobs, you must first be logged on to the system. In the event that you are not logged onto the system, the system will prompt you to log in or register a new account.

Please note that you will be required to submit an application against your saved jobs if you are interested to be considered for those jobs.

I want to be notified via email if a new job posted matches my profile

You need to log in with your existing user name and password.

Go to My Account Options and click Edit under Correspondence section. Select the option - Send me an email notification whenever a new position matching my profile is posted (job posting notification).

I made an error in my application. Can I make changes to the information I submitted?

Go to My Jobpage, My Submissions section and click on View/Edit Submission against the application that you wish to update.

How do I attach my resume, cover letter and other attachments to my application?

During application, you can attach any attachments e.g. cover letter, resume, references, transcripts, etc. Each attachment must not exceed 1024 kb.

How do I know if DBS has received my application?

After submitting your application, you will receive an acknowledgement email of the successful submission. Alternatively, go to My Jobpage, Completed Submissions after login to your account to check on the status of your application.

I want to know the status of my application

Log in to your account and go to My Jobpage, Completed Submissions and view your submission status. You can also track the correspondences sent to your email account via View Email Messages.

Can I withdraw my application after I have applied for a role?

Log in to your account and go to My Jobpage, Completed Submissions. Click on Withdraw against the job that you wish to withdraw your application.

Can I share a job to my friends that matches his or her skills and interests?

Under the job search page, click on the drop down icon and select Share. You can share the job through your social media or email.

Does my job account or profile expires?

Yes. In accordance with the data privacy protection regulations, we will purge data which are past the period of retention stipulated accordingly. Any updates to your profile will automatically reset the time counter for your account or profile.

If I have applied for a job at DBS before, can I re-apply for another position?

Yes. You may log into the same account to apply for other available positions.
