DBS Group Chairman Peter Seah conferred Institute of Directors (IOD), India Distinguished Fellowship

First to receive Distinguished Fellowship from the ASEAN region


India, 22 Dec 2017 - Peter Seah Lim Huat, Chairman of DBS Group Holdings, was conferred the Institute of Directors (IOD) India, Distinguished Fellowship for the year 2017. Peter is IOD’s first Distinguished Fellow from ASEAN region.

Peter was recognised for his outstanding contribution towards business and society at IOD’s first ever Singapore Global Convention on Corporate Ethics & Risk Management held on 14 December 2017. The convention was supported by the High Commission of India in Singapore and was held in partnership with Singapore Business Federation and Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

Peter joined the Board of Directors of DBS Group on 16 November 2009 and assumed the role of Chairman on 1 May 2010. Peter also is the present Chairman of Singapore Airlines Limited, Singapore Health Services Pte Ltd and LaSalle College of the Arts Limited. Peter serves on the boards of GIC Private Limited, Asia Mobile Holdings Pte Ltd, Fullerton Financial Holdings Pte Ltd and STT Communications Ltd.

IOD is an independent, non-profit apex association of directors, to spearhead India's corporate revolution, and build brand India. It was established in 1990 and since inception IOD has played a stellar role in outlining and propagating the concept of quality, inside the corporate corridors, to coincide with India's Economic Reforms of 1991.
