Currency-Linked Investment (CLI)
CLIs are short-term yield-enhancement products. They are structured based on your view of the exchange rate movement between two currencies of your choice. CLIs involve a currency option which allows the Bank to repay your maturity proceeds (the investment amount plus an enhanced yield, which includes the option premium) in either the base or alternate currency depending on the outcome of the exchange rate. The CLI can be tailored according to each customer's needs, and there is a range of currencies, tenor and strike rates to choose from.

The IPO allocation is not guaranteed. DBS Bank Ltd ("DBS") will not be able to commit on both the allotment and the size of the IPO allotment. At the point of your application for any placement orders, your funds will be held by DBS and will be used to meet the placement order upon receipt of confirmation of your IPO allotment, if any. You must accept that DBS' discretion on the allotment of the shares is final and absolute, notwithstanding that the number of placement shares ultimately allotted to you may be lower than requested in your placement order.
Investors may wish to seek advice from a financial advisor before making a commitment to purchase the product. In the event that the investor chooses not to do so, he/she should consider carefully whether the product is suitable for him/her.

Bonds are debt instruments which are also known as fixed-income securities. These instruments may provide a potential yield that is at least equivalent or higher than the prevailing inflation rate, through the fixed rate of interest the bond issuer pays through the life of the bond. The principal value of the bond is repaid at its maturity or when the bond is called by the issuer.
Bonds can be sold in the primary or secondary market. They may be of the sovereign or high-grade corporate variety, issued by governments or corporate entities. Singapore Government Securities (SGS) is an example of a government-issued bond.
