DBS is privileged to be Presenting Partner of Diaspora, a sweeping cultural performance specially commissioned for this year's World Bank/ IMF meetings. At the heart of Diaspora is the Asian migrant, whose search for a better life takes him on journeys to new lands and experiences. Drawing on real-life personal stories, the production is replete with insights on humanity and celebrates the tenacity of the human spirit in the face of overwhelming odds. Progress and development at the individual level are exemplified.
Diaspora's main theme of progress and development draws a parallel to the histories of DBS and Singapore at the institutional and national levels.
