Leap SchoolHouse™ is a newly-launched MOE registered enrichment centre which focuses on literacy development for children from 8 months to 6-years-of-age. Leap adopts an inclusive curriculum with an exciting approach that is planned by early childhood practitioners as well as curriculum planners with experience in the education systems both in locally and overseas.
LEAP foregrounds the need to build in our children, the need to see learning as a process of exploration. Teaching methods adopted and learning activities created focuses on the needs of the child.
All the programmes provided at the centre are interactive and engaging. Teaching methods and curriculum are all aligned to MOE Desired Outcomes of Education (Pre-School). The spacious school is stocked with reading materials in every room and equipped with media equipment and broadband access. There is also a room equipped with soft-gym play equipment so that part of the programme for the younger learners, can focus on enhancing their motor skills and dexterity. As teachers move towards giving structure to learning for the older learners, acknowledgment is also given to the fact that assimilation of skills and celebration of overcoming challenges takes place.
