Terms & Conditions

Promotion for Pro Care / Junior Care Insurance Policies ("the Promotion")

  1. The Promotion is jointly organised by MSIG Insurance (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. ("MSIG") and DBS Bank Ltd ("DBS") (collectively, the "Organisers").
  2. Promotional Period: 1 October 2011 to 31 December 2011 (both dates inclusive).
  3. Each application, together with the requisite premium payment, must be submitted and received by the Bank at any DBS / POSB branch or through our website at www.dbs.com/sg/personal/insurance by 31 December 2011.
  4. If you are applying for both Junior Care and Pro Care at the same time, both insurance policy applications, together with the requisite premium payment, must be submitted and received by DBS at any DBS / POSB branch or through our website at www.dbs.com/sg/personal/insurance by 31 December 2011.
  5. Under the Promotion, you will receive ONE (1) of the following Gifts:
    1. A free Plush Smiley Keychain worth S$7.00 ("Keychain") when you purchase Junior Care Insurance Policy (Classic Plan) at any of our DBS / POSB branch, or through our website; or
    2. A free Ya Kun Kaya Toast Set Meal Voucher worth S$4.50 ("Voucher") when you purchase Pro Care Insurance Policy at any of our DBS / POSB branch, or through our website; or
    3. A free Stylus Deep Fryer cum Fondue Set worth S$45.00 ("Deep Fryer") when you purchase both Junior Care (Classic Plan) and Pro Care Insurance Policies at the same time through DBS/POSB branch, or through our website.
    Gifts (a) and (c) are not applicable to Junior Care Value Plan.
  6. Each application is subject to MSIG's terms and conditions relating to eligibility and MSIG's acceptance of the application for the relevant Insurance Product.
  7. Your entitlement to the Gift is only applicable for a first time purchase of Junior Care / Pro Care Insurance Policy at any of our DBS / POSB branches or through our website (as the case may be). It is not valid with other Junior Care / Pro Care promotions, discounts, offers, vouchers, rebates or privileges. It does not apply to renewal policies with MSIG.
  8. You agree that you accept the Gift:
    1. in relation to the Keychain, subject to such terms and conditions that the Organisers may impose from time to time. The Keychain will be sent to you by ordinary post by MSIG, together with the Policy document;
    2. in relation to the Voucher, subject to such terms and conditions that Ya Kun International Pte Ltd ("Vendor") may impose from time to time. The Voucher will be sent by ordinary post by MSIG, together with the Policy document. The Voucher must be redeemed directly with the Vendor before the expiry date stated on the Voucher or
    3. in relation to the Deep Fryer, subject to such terms and conditions that LTS Group Pte Ltd ("Vendor") may impose from time to time. A redemption voucher will be sent by ordinary post by MSIG, together with the Policy document. You understand and acknowledge that the Deep Fryer must be redeemed directly from the Vendor before the expiry date stated on the voucher.
  9. The Organisers are under no obligation whatsoever to replace any Gift not received, expired or which has been misplaced.
  10. MSIG is entitled to deduct an amount equivalent to the value of the Gift, which you accept and agree shall be the respective amount stated at clause 5 above, from the applicable premium to be refunded to you if you cancel your MSIG policy within 60 days from the policy inception date of the relevant Insurance Product.
  11. The Gift is not exchangeable for cash, credit or any other item in part or in whole.
  12. Staff of the Organisers are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.
  13. The Organisers may at their sole discretion at any time and without prior notice substitute or replace the Gift with any other gift of equal or higher value, such value to be determined by the Organisers at their sole discretion. The Organisers make no representation or warranty whatsoever as to the quality or fitness for purpose or any other implied terms or conditions with respect to the Gift. The Organisers are not liable for any injury, loss or damage whatsoever, whether direct or indirect, arising from or in connection with the Gift. The recipient and/or other person(s) who benefit from using the Gift accept and enjoy the product at their own risk.
  14. The Organisers may vary the terms and conditions of the Promotion without prior notice or withdraw or discontinue the Promotion at any time without any notice or liability. The Organisers' decision on all matters relating to the Promotion will be at their absolute discretion and will be final and binding on the parties thereto. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any brochure, marketing or promotional material relating to the Promotion, these terms and conditions will prevail.
  15. A person who does not participate in the Promotion shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap.53B) to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions.
  16. The terms of the Promotion will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
