General Terms & Conditions

  1. Payment must be made with a DBS American Express Card during weekends between 1 January 2012 (0000 hr) and 1 January 2014 (2359 hr), unless otherwise stated, from Fridays to Sundays ("Promotional Period"), at Xtraordinary Weekend Merchants ("Merchants").
  2. 5X DBS Points will only be calculated if main Cardmember's ("Cardmembers") monthly credit card spend exceeds S$1,000 per main card account for each month ("Promotion"). Only one offer/promotion/discount/voucher is permitted per transaction. Monthly credit card spend refers to spending on both main and supplementary cards, including spending at Merchants, local and overseas retail transactions, 0% interest-free instalment payments but excluding any charges debited in respect of balance transfers, cash advances, online bill payments, finance charges, late payment fees and any other fees imposed by DBS Bank.
  3. Additional Points will be accumulated and awarded in main Cardmember's credit card statements in February 2012 (for Xtraordinary Weekend spending from 1 October to 31 December 2011), May 2012 (for Xtraordinary Weekend spending from 1 January to 31 March 2012 on weekends), August 2012 (for Xtraordinary Weekend spending from 1 April to 30 June 2012 on weekends), November 2012 (for Xtraordinary Weekend spending from 1 July to 30 September 2012) and February 2013 (for Xtraordinary Weekend spending from 1 October 2012 to 31 December 2012). Due to existing accelerated points programme for all DBS American Express Cards, additional points will be accorded in the following manner to make up the 5X Points that Cardmembers should earn: Additional 2X Points for DBS Treasures Black Elite American Express Card and DBS Altitude American Express Card; Additional 3X Points for DBS Black American Express Card; Additional 4X Points for DBS Takashimaya Platinum American Express Card, DBS American Express Gold or Classic Card. DBS Altitude American Express Cardmembers who spend above S$2,000 in the statement month will be awarded an additional 1X Point instead of additional 2X Points.
  4. Additional Points will only appear in credit card statements of valid main card accounts. Points will only awarded for spending in both main and supplementary cards, including spending at Merchants, local and overseas retail transactions, but excluding 0% interest-free instalment payments, any charges debited in respect of balance transfers, cash advances, online bill payments, finance charges, late payment fees and any other fees imposed by DBS Bank.
  5. Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts, offers, promotions, gift vouchers or VIP privileges.
  6. DBS reserves the right to include or exclude such participating Merchants as it deems fit, without prior notice or liability to any party.
  7. DBS makes no warranty or representation as to the quality, merchantability or fitness for purpose of the Merchants' goods and services. Any dispute about the same must be resolved directly with the respective Merchants.
  8. DBS shall not be liable for any loss, injury, claim or damage suffered or incurred as a result of the use of the Merchants' goods and services.
  9. DBS and the Merchants reserve the rights to change the terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. DBS is not an agent of the Merchants or vice versa.
