  4. What are the different types of accounts offered by DBS?

    • Autosave Account
    • SGD Current Account
    • SGD Fixed Deposit Account
    • Foreign Currency Current Account
    • Foreign Currency Fixed Deposit Account

    Organisations with Institution of Public Character (IPC) status are eligible to open DBS Autosave accounts with us.  The initial deposit is SGD 3,000 and you can start earning interest from the first dollar onwards.

    Our corporate accounts are denominated in 13 currencies, and allow your organisation to earn interest on balances at competitive rates. There are also cheque books available for all SGD and foreign currency accounts.

  6. What are the documentations for a change in mandate?

    When there is a change of mandate for associations, the following are required:
    • Certified Extract of Minutes of Meeting**
    • NRIC of Authorised Signatory**
    • Memorandum & Articles of Association, Constitution or Bye-Law**
    • Board Resolution

    Please note that any amendments made in the forms must be countersigned by the Chairman or Secretary.

  7. Are there any monthly fees charged for maintaining an account?

  8. Are there any set up fees charged for opening an account with DBS?

    There is no set-up fee for new account opening. For opening of subsequent account, a nominal fee of SGD 50 applies.

     

  9. How does DBS calculate the minimum average daily balance for the month? How much is the fall-below fee?

    We will total up the daily end-day balance in your account and divide it by the number of days in the month.

    For SGD corporate current accounts, a monthly fall-below fee of SGD 15 is applicable if the average daily balance falls below the minimum balance of SGD 10,000.

    For SGD DBS Autosave accounts, a monthly fall-below fee of SGD 7.50 is applicable if the average daily balance falls below the minimum balance of SGD 3,000.

     

  10. Is my organisation eligible for any special banking privileges if it has IPC status?

    Yes, you will be able to open a DBS Autosave account which allows your organisation to earn interest from the first dollar onwards.

    DBS IDEAL™, our award-winning corporate Internet Banking platform, offers a variety of services for our corporate customers. A single portal to our entire range of corporate Internet Banking services, DBS IDEAL™ is accessible anytime, anywhere.

    DBS provides cash management and trade services within our network and customers are able to access these payment and collection services online, through DBS IDEAL™.

    Payment services offered via DBS IDEAL™ include:

    • Account Transfer
    • Intra-Company Transfer
    • Cheque Express
    • Demand Draft
    • GIRO Payment
    • GIRO Payroll

  13. I am interested in signing up for your corporate Internet Banking service, DBS IDEAL™. How secure is it and what are the security features?

    DBS IDEAL™ has won several accolades for its ability to safeguard user information through comprehensive security mechanisms (outlined below) and for its intuitive, user-friendly interface.

    Transmission and Login Security
    • DBS IDEAL™ is a VeriSign Secured Site. All information is sent in a Secure Socket Layer session and is encrypted to protect customers against unintentional information disclosure to third-parties. 
    • Unique Organisation ID and User ID for logons. 
    • Security device (or "Token") logon and authorisation (all users, makers and authorisers will require security codes generated by the tokens to log into the account).

    File Upload Security:

    • Public Key Infrastructure 
    • Triple Data Encryption Standard

    Automatic Logout Feature

    • DBS IDEAL™ automatically terminates the current session when it detects inactivity for over 15 minutes. Users will need to logon again using their User ID and PIN.

    Constant and Vigilant Monitoring

    • DBS has in place security surveillance systems that constantly monitors for potential illegitimate activities on our network and systems.

    Regular Review and Audit

    • Regular security reviews and audits are conducted by internal as well as external auditors.

    In addition, DBS sets up the following configurations based on the entitlement process during implementation:

    DBS offers electronic Direct Debit Authorisation (eDDA) services where customers can apply for GIRO accounts using NETS terminals. We also offer Internet Direct Debit Authorisation (iDDA) services for online real time DDA application using our personal Internet Banking system, DBS iBanking.
