A. Race

  1. When will the POSB PAssion Run for Kids take place?
    It will be held on Sunday, 18 September, 2011, 7am.

  2. Where will the run be held?
    The run will be held at East Coast Park, Playground@Big Splash

  3. What is the distance of the run routes available for this event?
    1. Kids 1.2km
        • Boys and girls categories
        • Category 1: 11 to 12 years old as of 18th Sep 2011
        • Category 2: 9 to 10 years old as of 18th Sep 2011

    2. Kids 800m
        • Boys and girls categories
        • Category 1: 7 to 8 years old as of 18th Sep 2011
        • Category 2: 5 to 6 years old as of 18th Sep 2011

    3. Fun Run 4.5km
        • Children (below 13)
        • Adult (13 and above)

    4. Adult 10km
        • Aged 13 and above
        • Men and women categories

  4. What time does the run start?

    Type of run Flag off time
    Adult Competitive: 7.00am
    Children Competitive: 7.15am
    Non-Competitive Fun Run: 8.30am

  5. Are all the runs competitive runs?
    Yes, except for Fun Run 4.5km.

  6. How does the organizer determine the top three runners for the respective competitive runs?
    The top 3 winners for both men and women category for the competitive runs are based on manual time chips.

  7. If I cannot attend the event even though I have registered for it, can my friend take over the place?
    No, the race category is strictly non-transferrable.

  8. If I decided not to do the Competitive Run which I had signed for, can I do the Fun Run instead?
    No, the race category is strictly non-transferrable. However competitive runners (Adult and Children) are welcome to join in the fun run after their competitive race.

  9. Will all runners get a medal once they complete the race?
    Runners in the Kids 1.2km, Kids 800m, Adult 10km, will all receive a medal upon completion of the race.

  10. What will I receive if I sign up for the POSB PAssion Run for Kids?
    The Runners’ entitlements are as follows

  11. What are the sizes for the running tee?


  12. Where and when can I collect the Race Pack?
    Details will be released at a later date.

  13. What if I’m unable to collect my Race Pack?
    You may assign someone else to collect on behalf but he/she is required to present an authorization letter and a photocopy of your NRIC.

  14. Is there a baggage check-in area where I can deposit my belongings before the race starts?
    You can deposit your belongings at the baggage check-in counter provided. Runners are advised to carry the minimum essentials to the run.

    The baggage counter will be manned by volunteers and please note that the organizer will not be held responsible for any loss of items or damage.

  15. Will there be markers to guide me along the route?
    Yes. We will be having road marshalls to guide you along the route.

  16. What if I am injured during the run or otherwise, unable to complete the run?
    Runners who are injured or are unable to complete the race are to approach the nearest manned first aid station or route marshalls.

  17. Can I accompany my child for the 4.5km Fun Run without signing up for the run?
    You need to register as a runner in order to accompany your child for the Fun Run.

B. Registration

  1. When does the registration begin and end?
    Registration opens on Saturday, 14 May 2011 and will be closed on Sunday, 28 August 2011 or when the first 10,000 applicants are reached, whichever is earlier.

  2. How do I register?
    Please log onto www.posb.com.sg/runforkids to register.

  3. Is GST included in the registration fee?
    No, it is excluded.

  4. Besides the registration fee, can I contribute more for the charity?
    Yes, you can. Just indicate the additional amount for the donation on the registration form or via online registration. You can also make your donation via internet banking and POSB/DBS ATMs.

  5. How will I know if my registration has been accepted?
    You will receive an e-confirmation/e-receipt upon successful registration.

  6. Do I get a refund if I am unable to participate after registration?
    No.

  7. Why did I not receive the confirmation slip despite registering and making payment?
    This could be due to a variety of reasons as follows:
        i. Your registration was not successful and therefore the confirmation slip was not
            rendered.
        ii. There could be an error in your email at the point of registration so the confirmation
            slip was unable to be sent to the correct email address.
        iii. The email has been clocked by your mail server and/or is treated as spam.
        iv: You have not email or fax us the indemnity form. (For participants below 18 years of age).
              We will email the confirmation slip once we received the indemnity form .

    If you need any assistance please email to info@runforkids.com.sg. Please include your details such as Name, NRIC/Passport No. and Contact. We will reply to you within 2 working days.

    For the safety of the runners, the organizers will limit the run to 10,000 registered runners only.

    Bus 401 from Bedok Bus Interchange (weekends & P.H. only) Alight at: Playground @ Big Splash bus-stop

    Bus 31, 36, 43, 48, 76, 135, 196, 197 Alight at: Amber Road bus-stop, use underpass behind Chinese Swimming Club



  2. Besides the run, are there any other activities?
    We will be having a carnival with various booths selling Food & Beverage and other gaming stalls. All or part of the proceeds from the carnival will go to the POSB PAssion Kids Fund.
