DBS avails self-service banking channels for donations to support Nepal earthquake relief efforts

DBS will match dollar for dollar all staff donations


Singapore, 28 Apr 2015 - DBS Bank today announced that it is making available its self-service banking channels for donations from DBS/POSB customers to help the victims of the earthquake in Nepal that happened on April 25.

From today, DBS and POSB customers can contribute to the “Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund” conveniently via any of the 1,100 DBS/POSB ATMs located island wide. They can also contribute via the mobile wallet app DBS PayLah!, and internet and mobile banking channels. From early May, they can make their contribution via AXS stations. 

The “Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund” under Singapore Red Cross has been included as a billing organisation under the Bill Payment service and any customer wishing to make a contribution to the fund can do so by debiting their DBS or POSB account. The step-by-step guide is below.

Step-by-step guide for donations to Singapore Red Cross – Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund

DBS PayLah!

 

1. Login to DBS PayLah!
2. Select “Send” > “Donation”
3. Select “Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund” from the charity organisation list
4. Enter donation amount
5. Click on “Donate Now”
6. Select the tick to complete the transaction

 

DBS Internet Banking

 

1. Login to DBS iBanking
2. Click on “Pay”> “Pay Bills”> “Billing Organisation not in my pre-arranged list”
3. Select “Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund” from the billing corporation list
4. Enter NRIC/FIN/Passport Number as the Bill Reference
5. Select the debiting account
6. Enter donation amount
7. Click on “Next”
8. At the confirmation screen, click on “Submit” to complete the transaction

 

DBS Mobile Banking

 

1. Login to DBS mBanking
2. Click on “Payments”> “Bill Payment”> “One Time Bill Payment”
3. Select “Nepal Earthquake Relief” from the billing corporation list
4. Select the debiting account
5. Enter donation amount and NRIC/FIN/ Passport number as the Consumer Reference Number
6. Click on “Next”
7. At the confirmation screen, click on “Confirm” to complete the transaction
 

 

DBS/POSB ATM

 

1. Insert your ATM card and select “English” and enter PIN when prompted
2. Select “More Services”
3. Select “Credit Card/Bill Payment”
4. Enter Corporation No. for “Nepal Earthquake Relief” from the billing corporation list
5. Enter digits of NRIC/FIN/Passport Number as the Bill Reference No.
6. Select account type (e.g. Autosave, Current or Savings Account) and enter donation amount
7. At the confirmation screen, press “To Confirm” to complete the transaction
