SINGAPORE, April 9, 2003 - DBS Group Holdings stated today that rumours indicating that the Group has first-quarter derivatives or other trading losses are categorically false. DBS will release its first-quarter 2003 results on Monday, 21 April 2003.

DBS is disappointed by the repeated false rumours that create volatility in its share price and prey on investor fears during difficult economic conditions.
