Our presence in India dates back to 1994 when DBS Bank opened a representative office in Mumbai. This was upgraded to a full branch in March 1995. Another branch in New Delhi opened in 2005. DBS Bank has businesses across India and services corporate and institutional customers from all the major cities in India through its relationship teams.

In June 2005, DBS and Cholamandalam Investments and Finance Company Limited (Chola) agreed to form the Cholamandalam DBS Joint Venture. The partners’ shared vision is to build a leading financial services company with interests in consumer finance, asset management and securities. The JV has already soft-launched its first product, a personal loan, at three pilot branches, and has attracted its first customers.
