Wong is the Chief Financial Officer since October 2003. She is responsible for financial and management reporting of the affairs and activities of DBS Group and risk-based capital management. She leads the Group's financial initiatives, including capital fund raising, alliances, mergers and acquisitions.
Wong joined DBS Bank in February 2003 as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). As CAO, Wong had oversight responsibilities for the Group's Credit, HR, and Risk Management functions.
Prior to joining DBS Bank, Wong was at J.P. Morgan. Her last role was as Senior Country Officer of JP Morgan Singapore. In her 16-year career at J.P. Morgan, she had worked in the Global Markets and Emerging Markets sales and trading business, and had held senior management positions with regional responsibilities in Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 1986, Wong's career began in 1982 at Banque Paribas in Corporate Banking. She then worked for Citibank between 1984 to 1986 in Private Banking.
Wong is the Chairperson of the SMU Lee Kong Chian Business School Advisory Board, Vice-chairperson of the Asia Cabinet of the Global Advisory Board for the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a member of the NUS-Berkeley Risk Management Institute Advisory Board. Wong enjoys contributing in the area of education and is appointed by the Ministry of Education to be a member of the Polytechnic Quality Assurance Framework External Review Panel. She is also a Trustee of the SingHealth Endowment Fund and chairs its Audit Committee.
A Singaporean, Wong graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago.
