DBS rewards performance through compensation
At DBS, we reward all employees through a total compensation package. Our compensation system is designed to reflect and reward the accomplishments of employees; develop the right job skill-sets for employees; as well as train, nurture and identify outstanding talents to assume leadership positions.
Total compensation consists of the following components:
- Base pay (monthly salaries) - reflects the market worth of a job or the skills and capabilities of the jobholder.
- Short-term cash bonuses - reward the achievement of specific key results during a given year.
At management levels, employees are also eligible for long-term incentives which are given to reward your performance, as well as the organisation's performance over a multi-year period. The objective of long-term incentives, which comprise our performance share plan, is to foster a culture of ownership and align the interest of staff with that of shareholders.
